What’s in a name?
The name Human-Centered Growth & Development was carefully chosen to convey the foundational principles and values that I apply to my work. Vocabulary.com defines human-centered as “marked by humanistic values and devotion to human welfare”. Human-centered Design is an approach that puts people at the center of the design or problem-solving process. It is rooted in the belief that you should truly understand the people who experience a problem before you design a solution to serve them.
A desire to make a positive impact by understanding the unique human experience and improving individuals’ well-being is what prompted me to create personal and organizational services and products.
My mission is to foster new ways of thinking that enable individuals to unlock their potential and lead a more fulfilling life.

About
I’m Dr. Janel Bongiorno Field, a leadership, learning, and personal development expert. My experience as an organizational development practitioner enabled me to acquire deep knowledge in personal and executive coaching, talent development, change management, and workforce strategy.
Early in my career, I had the privilege of being a high school English teacher, and my innate desire to empower people through learning and self-discovery led me to pursue advanced degrees. I have Bachelors degrees in English and Education, and a Masters degree and Doctorate in Organizational Leadership. I am currently enjoying a fulfilling career as a leader in human resources and program/project development, plus I have the opportunity to serve as a consultant and personal and executive coach.
I have a successful track record of leading organizations to increased employee engagement, developing and implementing effective workforce planning strategies, and generating solutions to complex problems within highly dynamic organizational structures. In addition, I have helped individuals gain clarity and focus, improve performance, optimize productivity, and achieve their goals.
My most cherished position in life is being the mother to three amazing young adults.
